There is something that resonates within me whilst watching someone who is physically challenged

Good day

Over the last couple of weeks I have been following the Paralympics and I must say I have been impressed not only with the performances of the various athletes but the mental strength they must have to compete at that level. There is something that resonates within me whilst watching someone who is physically challenged competing better at a sport than most able bodied people can. The even greater lesson here for me is not only the determination these athletes have to have made it to the Paralympics in the first place, but also how they are able to overcome their various challenges and turn what most would view as a weakness, into their strength.

Whilst for various reasons the economy remains under pressure, however there were some positive market signs in the month of September such as the Rand slowly strengthening against the Dollar, and the repo rate remaining unchanged. I definitely see a shift in the real estate market and feel that those waiting in the peripherals to stand up and take note of these signs.

I am constantly reminded by friend and family to be grateful for what we do have and to believe that no matter what challenges we are faced with daily, similarly to the Paralympians, we need to have the strength of mind and positive attitude that firstly we are fortunate enough to have challenges that we can overcome, but most importantly to not give up and continue striving to reach our goals.

Here’s to another great month
